Contract-Based Incentive Mechanism for Redactable Proof-of-Stake Blockchains

Blockchain has received a lot of attention due to its immutability. However, the immutability characteristic prohibits editing blocks which need be modified. Although existing redactable blockchain enables manipulate in controlled way, it may suffer from security threats if number honest committee members (CMs) is insufficient. Thus, attract CMs for validating and voting permissionless blockchain, this paper presents contract-based incentive mechanism between contract issuer every CM. Firstly, models interaction each CM verifying process. Secondly, builds an according issuer’s cost size. Finally, selects sufficiently large with optimization method. The analysis shows that present secure against Sybil attack, simulations demonstrate proposed effective.
